More detainees have died at Guantánamo (nine) than have been convicted of wrongdoing by its military commissions (six). This is the fourth detainee who has died at the camp since President Obama’s inauguration.

Mike Klonsky, the former Communist Party leader, is a huge supporter of Karen Lewis, head of the Chicago Teachers’ Union.

Klonsky, an Obama supporter and former associate of the radicals who formed the terrorist group the Weatherman, received a $175,000 grant from the William Ayers/Barack Obama-led Annenberg Challenge to run the Small Schools Workshop.

Klonsky belonged to the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and was best friends with friends William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn who later became famous for their acts of terrorism.

Between 1979 and 1981, Communist Party chairman and Obama supporter Klonsky was repeatedly feted with state-dinner-level visits to Beijing.

Klonsky reportedly shared offices on the same floor with Barack Obama and Bill Ayers at the University of Illinois, Chicago campus.
